Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-08-27

Anchor in 55Ft of water in Cano Island 8.42.832N – 83.53.292W, we spent the night in Drake´s Bay 8.42.062N – 83.40.382W. That bay offers good shelter in shallow water (30Ft).

We moved this morning and now we are diving these sites, the past three days. Guests enjoyed walking in the different places we offered and they loved it but they want to dive. The dives along the coast in this south side of Costa Rica are beautiful but at this time of the years the rains bring low visibility to the shoreline in mainland. So, we are giving what they want.

We have scheduled four dives today, first and second dive brought joy to the group and crew, guests liked them. Visibility is 50Ft and more in some of the spots, only the first 10 feet have low visibility but as you make it down water gets clear. They are happy with all the fish the white tip reef sharks, green turtle, hawks bill turtle southern stingrays and more.
