Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-10-02

Anchor at Las Animas. Wind: very light wind from N 3-5 kts sometimes gusts around 7 kts but at the morning was around 13 to 15 kts N, Seas: 1 ft N long period of swell.

Yesterday before the night dive a pot of dolphins was swimming very close to the Ship and we went to play with them. Unfortunately, they did not want to play so much. Anyway, at least we tried and our guests were super happy.

Then we performed a night dive in El Cayo of San Jose. The dive conditions were so good, water temp 29 C°, no current and the water was clean about 35 ft, we encountered with some reef fish.

We started early with the anchor to arrive at Las Animas. The 1st dive was really good, we encountered with the hammerheads, finally!!, as well we shared the dive with some sea lions. Our guests were happy and the 2nd one we encountered the hammerheads again. The day has been really good, the visibility is around 50 ft,the current was strong in 1st one and moderate in the 2nd one,water temp 29 C°,

We are going to perform 2 dives more and then we are going to start our way to Carmen and Coronado island.
