Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2023-10-17

NUS Anchored at 25°06.4N-110°30.4W, in 110 ft of depth on Las Animas Island with clear and sunny skies that kill outside the shadow. Completely calm without wind and waves. Air temp 94°F.Water temp 87°F and moderate southward current.

Two dives were made this morning. The first Dive was at the northern pinnacle to try to find the hammerhead sharks but they were not seen. Possibly they are deeper where the water is colder but guests did see sea lions and tons of reef fish.

The second dive, was done at the east side pinnacle of the island with many reef fish and sea lions. Guests are happy and want more action with the sea lions for the rest of the day.

The plan for tomorrow is to go to the Reyna on Cerralvo Island. Sharing the Island with the boat Valentina.
