Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-11-15

Today NGL was 25nm south of Isla Margarita chasing bait balls. Weather was good most of the day. light northerlies and 3′ swell around midday. Viz 20m, water temp 26C.

Took a little longer to find a bait ball today but they did eventually find a good one and watched it get decimated by Dorados. At 1300hrs everyone was back onboard and we started heading towards Puerto Magdalena to anchor for the night. Expecting strong northerlies next couple of days so anchoring inside the bay.

Pangas will pick up here tomorrow morning and maybe search the coast for whales and mobulas or if it’s too rough go exploring sand dunes and mangroves.

For our last day, we’ll see what conditions are like and make our plan.
