Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Belle Amie โ€“ 2023-12-30

Belle Amie diving Cabo Pearce today. Wind is 8-12 from the north, swell on this side is nice, maybe a couple of feet with light chop, partly cloudy. Air temp 28C, water temp 27C.

Diving has been tough today with strong current and green water on the second dive. There are animals around, we’ve spotted several mantas, a few hammerheads, and some dolphins. Dive 2, but generally only brief encounters by some of the groups.

We’ll try one more here after lunch then go for navy check-in. Plan to dive the west side of Socorro tomorrow and hoping the swell is manageable.

Yesterday afternoon at Canyon was great. Although the swell picked up and caused challenging conditions, the diving was excellent and almost everyone saw a whale shark on the last dive around the cleaning station.
No guest issues. New chef Luis who is by himself this week for the first time is doing great, on schedule and food is really good.
