Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-01-01

Today the Belle is at Roca Partida along with Rocio del mar, Solmar, and Valentina. Wind is light from the NE, swell is a long period 6-8′, sky is partly cloudy, air temp 28C, water temp 27C.

On a 3-dive schedule with all the boats today and we are currently in the middle of dive 2. Conditions are pretty good, viz around 80′, and current moderate.

Pretty sharky around the south point where the current is hitting with some silver-tips, Galapagos, and a couple of hammerheads. There were a few dolphins around on the first dive as well but they just cruised by the boats and didn’t go see the divers.

For new year’s celebration last night, Gero strung up a pinata and entertained the guests on the top deck. Tonight, we’ll head back to San Benedicto overnight and try the Boiler in the morning although looking like we get a little wind, we’ll see. Tomorrow night heading back to Cabo. Hoping we can have a strong day tomorrow to finish.
