Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-01-09

Belle today is at Cabo Pearce along with the NUS. Wind is fairly strong from the NNE, around 15 kts gusting 20 occasionally. Seas around 3-4′ off the point, sky partly cloudy, air temp 25C.

We did the navy check-in yesterday over the radio and then anchored at Cabo Pearce for the night and have completed 2 dives here so far today.

The diving has been really good, with several friendly mantas around the cleaning station on both dives. One diver said this morning was the best dive of the trip. Also, some people see hammerheads and I heard a rumor about some dolphins around as well although I’m not sure if the divers saw them during the dive.

Water temp 26C, viz this morning around 15m, increasing to around 20m on second dive. Current moderate. The plan tonight is to head out to Roca Partita for our last day of diving.
