Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-01-10

Belle Amie is at Roca Partida today along with the mighty Explorer. Topside conditions are a little tricky. Northerly winds 15kts with a NW swell 6-9ft rolling through and a northerly current holding us almost broadside to the swell. Air temp 25C, sky partly cloudy.

Diving has been very good though. First dive 3 playful mantas around, plus the usual sharks. On the second dive, our divers got to see some dolphins as well.  Tico driving the skiff and I think the NEX divers saw a whale shark. None of our divers looked up at the right time apparently but hopefully, on this dive 3 they see it.

Viz is good, 20-25m, water temp 26C, current moderate to strong. Some good diving today to finish our trip on. As soon as last dive is over we’re going to start making way to Cabo to get out of this trough reduce rolling and make our way slowly to arrive Friday morning around 0600.
