Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-02-18

Vessel at Anchor at the formidable Boiler.  Check Dive occurred round the corner at Forndeadero in 50ft depth and Sandy bottom. Due to the good WX we thought to complete our remaining dives at Boiler.

Current WX; Clear Skies, Wind 10-15kts, Max Seas 3ft. Sea Water Temp: 24/25c Underwater visibility 25m.

During the check dive we saw: White Tip Sharks, Manta (chevron), lots of lobsters and the usual reef fish.  Here in the Boiler, same water conditions, although we had several more visitors which were 2 friendly Mantas, White and Sliver tipped sharks, and Octopus.  Although the North to South current was strong our divers were able to overcome it.

Plan is to remain here for the next 2 dives, return to Forndeadero Anchor, dinner in the shelter overnight, and dive there tomorrow.
