Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-02-18

We are anchorage in Punta Tosca 18 46.24 N – 111 02.2 W, depth 118 FT, weather condition wind NW 12 kts NE. Outside the bay the sea state is 2 FT, today is sunny day, visibility underwater 10-12 mtrs, strong current running to the south, all the guests are having a good time.

In the first dive they have seen some Mantas, some small (babes) Galapagos sharks, white tips sharks, many other reef fish, lobsters and one turtle. This morning very early we have had four whales very close to NUS (humpback) all the guests have taken a picture of them. The second dive had better visibility and some guests saw dolphins.

Today at 1030 in the morning the fire alarm was activated and the crew and guests acted 100% fine, it was a false alarm, and guests tell me “Thank you” crew is very good for their prompt actions. we disconnected the smoke detector to check and reset the alarm.
