Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-02-19

We are anchorage in Isla San Benedicto ( ElCañon ) 19 17.6 N – 110 48.6 W, depth 114 FT, weather condition wind NE 10 kts, sea state 2 FT, today is a sunny day, visibility underwater very bad 6-8 mtrs, strong current running to the west, all the guests ask about that.

In the first dive some guests have seen hummer sharks, three mantas, Galapagos sharks, silver tips sharks, many cleaner fish. This morning, we have had one whale very close to NUS (humpback). The second dive had been bad visibility decrease about 4 to 5 meters and they have seen only the shadows of animals. We are waiting for a better third dive.
