Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-03-15

Good afternoon, all, NEX is anchored in San Benedicto Island, 50 ft. depth. 1,5 shots paid out, wind from NW gusting to 12 kts and 3 ft seas in the anchorage.

We started our day with the check dive, all went good, during this dive we had moderate current from W to E, water temperature was 23C and viz 15 meters, white tips, sting rays, moray eels and lobsters were there during the dive.

For dive number 2 we went to the Canyon, very sharky dive, tiger sharks, some scattered hammerheads, lots of Galapagos, silvertips, and white tip reef shark.

Also, our guests saw octopus and the usual reef fish of the dive site, whales singing was part of the dive too, diving conditions were good, no current, water temperature 24C and viz 10-15 meters.

We have 2 more dives here and after dinner we will start to make way to Roca Partida where we will be the next 2 days.
