Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2024-03-19

Gallant Lady anchored at SW Montserrat Island this afternoon. Some northerly wind 10-15kts in the channel and 3-4′ NE swell. Sky mostly clear, air temp 26C. We spent the night anchored at Agua Verde and had a nice paddle this morning in the area. The NE swell was rolling in all night and we had a bit of a rolly night but it was pretty this morning. Got to see a humpback come up a couple times as we were leaving Agua Verde, Dave spotted it as he was heading to Loreto airport for fuel. We had planned to head south and anchor at San Telmo about 15nm south of Agua Verde, but with the NE swell there would have been no shelter, so we decided to turn around and head back to Montserrat Island, which is where we are now. We’ll do some paddling and a shore hike here this afternoon, taco night then head for San Jose/San Francisco for tomorrow.

We’ve been using the autopilot for the last few days without any problem, been working normally.

Guests and crew ok.

wifi, watermaker, gens ok.
