Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2024-04-04

NGL anchored at Bonanza Beach. wind is from the south right now, 5 kts with a small swell wrapping around from the north, but mostly calm in here, clear skies and air temp 27C.

We departed Bahia de Los Suenos this morning at 0630 with the plan of searching the Cerralvo channel but due to the swell left over from yesterday, we did well just to make it up here to Bonanza and tuck in out of the northerly swell.

We had 5-6 feet at times 5.5 seconds in the channel and a very uncomfortable ride. Found a nice shelter here at Bonanza though and as soon we arrived all the guests jumped in the rhib to get out for a bit of a search before lunch.

This afternoon we’ll go looking for mobulas and reposition to Ensenada Grande to anchor for tonight.
