Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-04-27

NUS Anchored at 19°17.8N-110°48.5W, in 50ft depth, the Canyon, San Benedicto Island, the sky is partly cloudy, A cold morning, air temperature 69°F, northwest wind at 16 knots and gusts 25 knots, the swell that wraps around the tip of the Island and enters the shelter of 3 ft.

This morning two dives were made in the Canyon with a visibility of 60 ft, a water temperature 73°F, and no current. The divers saw a school of Hammerhead Sharks, 3 rays, one black and two chevrons, and good activity at the cleaning station with Galapagos Sharks, and Silvertips on both dives.

We plan two more dives in the afternoon. Sharing the dive site with Rocio del Mar who has been dragging the anchor several times during the day.
