Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-05-20

NUS Anchored at 18°44.8N-111°00.2W, at 90ft, aquarium, Socorro Island, the sky is clear, air temperature 78°F, we have a pleasant breeze blowing from the northwest of 5 knots and a 4ft wave from the south long period.

This morning, we started with our first dive at Roca O’Neal, the divers saw a tiger shark and 4 different manta rays. For the second dive the site was Punta Tosca and cooperated with 2 manta rays and some juvenile sharks.

Conditions in both dives vis 60ft, temp 77°F and light current to the north and for the third dive today it will be in the aquarium and after this dive to the Navy base for Routine Inspection.
