Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Explorer โ€“ 2024-06-13

NEX is anchored at Fondeadero Sur in San Benedicto Island. Weather is excellent for diving, blue sky, warm air temperature (24ยฐC), light breeze from NW, Calm seas.

We started to dive at 7:00 am. From the boat at “El Fondeadero”, on the first dive. It was outstanding, the water temperature was 21ยฐC, a little cooler than the last trip, Visibility was good, about 15 m. No current at all.

The divers saw a big manta from the very beginning of the immersion and a small pod of dolphins. Some white tips reef shark and tons of reef fishes all over the dive site.

The second dive was at “El Caรฑon”, this dive was excellent too, conditions were very good for diving, water temperature was still 21ยฐC. Visibility was better, about 20 m. and there was a little current going east, very slowly. The guests saw a couple of friendly mantas, some silver tip sharks, white tips sharks laying among the rocks, and a small school of hammer head sharks at the cleaning station.
