Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-06-14

NBA anchored between Canyon and Fondeadero. Beautiful day, light westerlies, partly cloudy, air temp 26C, a long 2 to 3ft sw’ly swell rolling in. Water temp has been chilly, 21C, current mild, viz a very nice 15-20m plus. We had a very comfortable transit south yesterday and last night, arriving at Canyon at 0600 this morning.

Enjoyed that big blue whale yesterday afternoon. Checkout dive at Fondeadero went well, this group of divers is mostly very experienced and no issues on that side of things. The dive was good. Excellent for a couple groups who had a few dolphins around with them and a manta at the end for one group. Otherwise fairly standard jacks, white tips, reef fish.

Dive 2 at Canyon was really good. The cleaning station is very active with a lot of fish plus silver-tips, silkies, a few hammerheads around and a manta. Guests happy with the diving so far, but lots of comments on how cold it is! Do more at Canyon this afternoon, taco night tonight, then heading out to Roca Partida for tomorrow.
