Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-07-13

NUS anchored in La Animas, southerly wind 15 kts, calm seas here in the little bay and 2-3 ft chop in the channel sky 3/8 , air temperature 30 Celsius, water temperature 21 Celsius but there’s a thermocline at 12 meters and water was 19 Celsius.

Our guests had a great time yesterday with the Orcas but they said they are more interested in diving for that reason we brought them here.

We have done 2 dives and dive 3 is going on, lots of sea lions, a few turtles, we went to look for the hammerheads but viz was no good, 10 meters less, we also saw lobsters, red snappers schooling, tiger fish moray eels and a few lobsters.

Plan is to finish here and then head to San Franci Quito, sleep there and dive in the sea lion colony and the little bajo north of the colony.
