Gerardo Pasos Hern Hi everybody. The NEX is anchored in pos. Lat. N. 28° 56.65’ Long. W. 113°28.83’ at Punta La Herradura in Bahía de los Ángeles, BCS. The day started cool, 28°C, cloudy and gentle breeze from SE. But it turned onto a strong windy noon. Wind increased to 15 – 17 kt. From SE. Fortunately we are protected by land here where we are.

Conditions on the first dive in Punta San Juan were regular, water temp 28°C on the surface but under water, at 5 m. Temperature decreased to 24°C, not too bad. Visibility 5 – 6 m. Low current going NW.

The divers saw many kinds of rays in the sandy bottom, puffer fish, some nudibranchs, and lots of reef fish. After the dive, we moved to Punta La Herradura in Bahía de los Ángeles, where we waited for pangas to take the guests to do whale shark sighting. They left the boat at 09:15 hr. and returned at 12:10 for lunch. All the guests returned happy because the saw many whale sharks. After lunch, they are coming back to the site to continue snorkelling with the sharks.
