Hello everyone, The NGL was in Swaney Rock, in San Lorenzo channel, BCS. Weather was excellent for diving in the morning. Low current going West, Visibility was reduced but not too bad, about 7 m. Water temperature was 23ยฐC
But before noon, the weather changed a lot, wind started to blow from SE, about 17 kt. And water got turbid, waves became higher, about 4 ft. And with short periods. The Sky was half covered but complete cover in no time.
We could do 2 dives in that site.
The first one was good, visibility was poor but they could see, sea lions that were in the site for the whole time, they also saw a school of baby needle fish, a school of damsel fish, many reef fish all over the rock, soft coral and a box fish. On the second dive, condition changed, water got turbid, current was still going east but the waves got bigger, but with this condition, the divers could see some interesting things. The sea lions were there, the school of needle fish was there and they stayed close to the bottom to avoid the surging. It was a little challenging but they did the dive well.
