Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-08-08

Belle Amie is at Bahia de Los Angeles. Weather conditions are excellent – Wind 2-5 kts N, sea N around 1ft , sky clear. Air temp 35C. In the water we have the usual viz here in the bay of around 5-10m. Water temp 28C.

Yesterday afternoon we dove the little islets on the north side of San Pedro Martir and it was very good. Most groups saw several hammerheads and a beautiful reef full of fish. This morning, we did one early morning dive at Punta don Juan a few miles outside of the bay.

Viz is low due to all the food in the water but guests enjoyed the dive, lots of life, they said there were loads of different types of stingrays.

This morning we’ve already done our first round with the whale sharks and heading for round 2 now. It’s been very good with all the pangas seeing multiple whale sharks. We’ll be getting underway for La Paz at 1600 hrs and hoping for some plane support tomorrow around the hot spot.
