Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Gallant Lady โ€“ 2024-08-16

Hi, The NGL is in La Reyna. Today has been a windy day, the day started windy, calmed a little at mid-morning but it got windy again before noon. Wind is blowing from south east at 14 Kt. The sky is clear and the temperature is 31ยฐC.

Diving conditions are excellent, water is really clear. Visibility is 60+ ft. Gentle current going NW, temperature 23ยฐC. We did 2 dives in this site.

The first one was excellent, the guests saw many morays, tons of reef fish, 2 octopuses, sea lions playing close to the rocks, schools of sardine in several parts of the reef.

On the second dive conditions were almost the same, wind increased but current was calm, the temperature was the same and visibility reduced a little but it was excellent about 50 m.

The divers enjoyed the conditions a lot, they could see a lots of sea life, nudibranchs, many kinds of reef fish, eels, the sea lions were there, etc. After that, all the guest went out in the skiff for whale watching. There was a report of a blue whale near to Cerralvo Island. Unfortunately, sea conditions were rough and they could not see any whale. They had to come back to the boat early. They are having lunch and preparing for the next dive.
