Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Belle Amie โ€“ 2024-08-25

NBA anchored off Puerto Escondido, 70 ft depth, 1.5 shots paid out, light wind ESE and light chop, sky partially cloudy, air temperature 32 Celsius.

We left Pichilingue last night after our safety briefing, transit north was smooth , just little windy but nothing that our guests cant handle. This morning before we arrived to the first dive site we had an encounter with a large pod of bottlenose dolphins. They were swimming and jumping next to the boat. We also saw many mobulas jumping in the area and a few of us got the chance to see a fin whale.

So far we have done 2 dives and we will do another 2. Dive number 1 was good, it was on the west side of Danzante island. There were blennies, nudibranchs, large school of fish. Viz was about 17 metres and temperature 26-28 Celsius. For dive number 2 we went to C54. This is Navy ship that was sunk in order to become an artificial reef. It is always full of life and this time was no different, guests did enjoy that dive, lots of fish, groupers, beautiful eels and octopus. Viz was 15 metres and temperature 26-28 C.

Our plan is to stay the night in Danzante and start tomorrow diving El Abismo in Carmen island.
