Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Explorer โ€“ 2024-08-28

NEX anchored at Bahia Chatham Cocos Island, deep sounder 85 ft depth. We have good weather wind blowing from ESE 2-4 kts. Cloudy day but some moments sun appears, air temperature 27 Celcius, sea state inside the bay is 1 ft. 

Yesterday the last dive at the Vikings and Pajara sites were little light. Guest saw some hammer sharks but only by passing, the current was a little strong to East. 

This morning one dive has been done one group in Alcyone other group in Manuelita. Alcyone was very good with good visibility 15-18 mtrs, no current, water temperature 26 Celsius. Divers saw hammer sharks very close to them, some big galapagos, some oceanic black tips, many jacks, many snappers. Other groups in Manuelita, they saw school from hammer sharks, and big big school of bonitos. Divers very happy. 

On the second dive was good visibility in Manuelita 15 mtrs and temp 26 Celsius. They saw hammerhead sharks in a small group sometime 5, sometimes 2 or 3, bonitos for everywhere, marble rays 6, snapper for everywhere. And another group in Alcyone saw some hummer sharks and visibility reduced a little 10-12 mtrs, but our guest continued happily.
