Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Gallant Lady โ€“ 2024-09-30

Good afternoon, everyone, NGL at La Reyna. 60 ft depth 3 shots out. Weather Conditions Easterly light winds, 2-3ft swell from ESE. clear skies, hazy at the horizon, air temp 38C.

Yesterday afternoon we dove Fang Ming, condition were great, 20 mts viz, water temp 35 C. about sea life there were a few big sea turtles swimming around, lot of eels, a lot of reef fishes and black coral. Our divers really liked it, they were getting in and out the wreck.

On last dive only 2 divers wanted to go, they dove south point of La Ballena island, Water temp was warm 30C, No current, good viz. A lot of coral and big schools of reef fishes and nudibranchs. We had a quiet night there and a delicious taco night under the stars.

This morning, we arrived to La Reyna, we had the whole place for us. In first dive and it was amazing, 2 Chevron Mantas were hanging out there, all divers were able to see them, Big schools of fishes, schools of mackerel, some Yellow tail jacks and 2 tunas, Sea lions and a lot of all king of eels at the wreck.

All divers were really happy to see the mantas, others were amazed to see so many eels at one place.

On the second dive were more of the same, but this time they could saw only one manta, as there were like 8 pangas with divers and snorkelers. two good dives so far. We will stay here at la Reyna for the next dives and later this afternoon will go to Espiritu Santo Island to drop anchor and sleep there.
