Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Gallant Lady โ€“ 2024-10-25

NGL  8nm SW from Punta entrada. WX: Wind NW 12-15 kts, Seas 3-4 ft long period swell from SSE and 3 ft seas from NW. Clear Sky. Air temp 29C.

We are following the pangas as they are heading near to shore in search for whales or any life action. Both pangas are out with guests as they wanted to be as much possible out there before it gets rough as forecasted. Wind started to pick up and white caps are over the sea.

Yesterday wind picked up in the afternoon, one of the pangas decided to come back to the boat as it was getting rough and the group decided that it was enough for the day, the other panga (Carlos group) stayed out searching for some life. Afternoon was quiet.

By 1600 the panga called us to meet inside the bay. When we were abeam the bay entrance there was a big group of Mobulas breaching. The group arrived to the mobulas but they didnโ€™t jump in the water as it was green, they took nice pics and videos from the panga.

This morning action has been a little bit quiet, a small pod of dolphins, birds following the dolphins, some Marlins, bait balls but moving fast, some saw a whale they tried to follow but the whale gone away.

Guests asked if they can do another day of pangas to search for bait balls tomorrow instead of diving as they are afraid that dives will be bad because of the visibility. I will arrange for the pangas stay for tomorrow.
