Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Explorer โ€“ 2024-10-29

NEX anchored in front of Puerto Magdalena today. Wind is NW 20kts plus with 2ft chop in the anchorage. Sky mostly clear, air temp 23C. Due to wind conditions we are doing mangrove and sand dune tours inside the bay today.

Guests went out for about 3 hours this morning and will go out again after lunch. Will send a couple coolers of beers along with them for an afternoon sundowner to finish the day. All guests I spoke to were very happy with the morning tour through the mangroves.

Yesterday afternoon also guests had some good bait ball action before the wind picked up. Tomorrow looks tricky again but we’re going to try to do some diving around Punta entrada in the morning.

If viz is really bad we may try to get down to south end of Isla Margarita and try to dive down there in the afternoon.
