Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2024-10-30

NGL Anchored at Punta Entrada, Magdalena Island, the sky is clear. NW wind 15-18 kn. Due to the bad weather we had today it was not possible to go out to look for bait balls but we are doing some diving around Punta Entrada.

We talked with the guests that when mother nature does not help us we have to accept the conditions she puts us in and try to do the best for everyone’s safety.

Two dives were done with visibility of 10 meters, water temperature 21C and a little surge in the most protected part of the island. For the second dive visibility decreased to 7 meters. The divers saw a few sea lions, a Horn Shark, electric rays, Garibaldis.

We plan to do one more dive and tomorrow return to the bait ball action for the rest of the trip.
