Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-11-08

NEX anchored at Punta Tosca along with NUS today. Wind strong from the north, 15-20kts, some long slight swell coming in and 1ft chop in the bay.

We finished diving early at RP yesterday with 3 boats so we arrived to Tosca around 2200 hrs and anchored for the night.

Two dives done so far this morning and both were excellent. A couple mantas around on dive 1 and on dive 2 we dropped on the inside finger and had a pod of dolphins as well as a couple friendly mantas around. Divers were very excited after the dive.

Just getting ready for dive 3 now then we’ll head to the navy base for checking and then up to Cabo Pearce for the night. Viz has been very nice today, 20m plus, water temp 27C, air temp around 26C with the wind, current mild.
