Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-11-14

NEX at Roca today. Wind is 8-12 kts from the NE, swell is around 4-7ft from the NW, current mild going to the north. Sky mostly clear with some clouds on the horizon. We are sitting in trough from the wind and current so a bit rolly although conditions aren’t so bad.  Valentina also here today.

Great afternoon at Canyon yesterday, then taco night before heading out to Roca. Diving is good here today. For some they had an amazing first dive with a big momma whale shark and a couple mantas around. For others who didn’t see the whale shark not as exciting.

Same thing on dive 2. A couple groups saw the whale shark but a couple no. The mantas are not being friendly today just cruising around. Overall, very nice diving though, current is mild and viz is around 80-100ft, water temp 27-28C.
