Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-11-15

NEX at Boiler today, arrived this morning at 0600 from RP. Weather quite nice so far. NNE wind 5-7kts, NW swell around 4-6ft but seems to be increasing, I see the Boiler boiling more the last hour, sky mostly clear, air temp 27-28C, water temp 26C.

Diving this morning has been amazing. First dive viz was a bit low but two groups had a great dolphin dive. On dive 2 was manta soup! 9 individuals at the same time around the divers, each group getting loads of manta interaction, beautiful viz and mild current.

Plan to head to Socorro for tomorrow, just one day, then back to Canyon for last day and depart from here. Depending on weather we may have to depart early morning of the 18th, we’ll see how it looks the day of.
