Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-11-16

NEX at Punta Tosca today. Wind has picked up quite a bit and we now have around 15-20kts from the north. Sea conditions in the anchorage are light chop with about a long 4ft swell underneath. Around the corner the seas are starting to build. Sky is partly cloudy, air temp around 27C.

We are here with Quino el Guarian and NUS. Over at Cabo Pearce is Southern, Rocio and Valentina.

Diving here this morning has been epic, a lot of mantas around and very friendly, particularly the second dive with 4 mantas playing with the divers the entire dive, also some Galapagos and for some divers some dolphins came into the mix as well.

Planning one more here, then navy inspection, then up to San Benedicto/Canyon area after dinner for our last day tomorrow.

If the wind is as strong as one model is showing I may have to delay departure back to Cabo until morning of the 18th. We’ll see how it looks tomorrow evening. Guests having excellent dives and all are happy.
