Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-11-23

NEX at anchor at Roca Partida, on 235 ft depth. 4 Shots out. Weather, Light wind Nly 5 kts, 3-5 ft NW swell. Clear sky. Air temp 28 C.

Yesterday at the Boiler, we had a great day, Full of mantas in all dives. In the afternoon mantas were getting super close to divers which was amazing. It was a great day. Finished with taco night at top deck with a clear sky full of stars.

This morning, we arrived to Roca Partida. First dive was a little quiet, few silkies, reef whitetips, reef fishes, a school of bonitos and one Manta. Viz was good 25 mts and temp 25C. No current.

By the second dive got better, more life, some big yellowfin tunas, School of jacks, bonitos, the same Manta, and a school of 10 mobulas. Everyone liked the second dive. Water conditions were the same as the first dive.

Planning 2 more dives this afternoon and depart tonight after dinner to Cabo Pearce.
