Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-12-11

NEX at anchor at the Canyon San Benedicto Island, 50 ft depth 2 shots out. Nice Weather: Nly 5-8 kts, 1-2 ft seas. Clear sky. Air temp 27 C.

What a beautiful we have today at the Canyon, it is really calm and nice and what dives we had. So far we have had 2 amazing dives. Water viz is really good 20-25 mts. No current and a little bit more cold water 23C.

First dive there were 3 Mantas around cleaning station, few sharks, Galapagos, silkies, silvertips. But what our divers liked the most was a school of hammerhead that were around, some say they were like 40 of them. One group say that they were underneath them when they were at the safety stop.

On second dive more the same, hammerheads most of the dive, plus 3-4 mantas and other sharks. Everyone has loved the dives. Planning to finish the day here and departure tonight before midnight to Cabo San Lucas.
