Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-01-08

NEX at anchor at The Boiler 115 ft depth 3 shots out. Weather: 8-12 kts WNW wind, 2-4 ft seas. Cloudy sky. Air temp 23 C.

We arrived last night to Fondeadero and this morning we did our check dive there, jumped from the back of the boat. It was a quiet dive but good for check out.

After finishing the first dive we moved to the Boiler. We did second dive here which as always, it was amazing, 5 Mantas circling around, a couple of hammerheads, Galapagos sharks and many many fishes. All divers were so happy.

Water conditions viz 20-25 mts, water temp 25C. No current. Some divers have been diving with some extra weight as theirs have been going up and down, our dive guides spoke with them already to reduce their weight.

We will do 2 more dives here and will move to El Cañon after the last dive.
