Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-01-17

NEX at anchor at The Canyon 45 ft depth 2 shots out. Weather: 15-20 kts N wind, 1-2 ft seas. Clear sky. Air temp 22 C.

Yesterday afternoon at the Boiler dives were as good as the morning dives, Mantas, some hammerheads, Galapagos, silkies. After the last dive we moved the back to the Canyon to anchor in shelter area from the wind. We had a nice taco night.

This morning, we started diving first at the Canyon. A couple of good dives so far, a couple of mantas, lot of sharks at the cleaning station, a school of hammerheads around 30ish. All divers are enjoying the dives and the day.

Water conditions Viz. 20-25 mts, No current, Water temp 23C. We have 2 more dives to go this afternoon and then we will depart to Punta tosca for tomorrow´s dives.
