Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2025-01-21

Roca Partida, boat anchored in 250Ft. Cloudy skies, wind blowing 14kts NW, confused seas 5Ft tall, little current to the west, today visibility average 100Ft or more they say. Water temperature is 76F and air is 72F.

Diving is good, Pable the DG says they had 5 mantas coming to them at the same time! The south corner had the mantas the north side had the Galapagos sharks and the silver tips too. The horse eyed jacks are in little schools here and there, huge school of horse eyed jacks in the west side.

In first dive dolphins were after the jacks and won’t play with guests I guess if they are hungry, they have no interest to play, visibility is great water temperature feels nice. Balconies full of the white tip reef sharks, diving is beautiful.

However, none of these is more exciting today than seeing the humpback whales leaping clear out of the water there must be a whole family or just different whales traveling together they are everywhere and close to the boat, they keep coming out for air and keeping guests in the edge hoping for that ROCA PARTIDA surprise. Hopefully they come to the rock so they can see them underwater.

Yesterday just before the third dive the humpback whales were jumping out of the water in the Boiler everyone is excited.
