Today at Socorro we saw many dolphins on the first dive! They were curious and playful. They came very close to the divers and were not shy at all! And per usual, we saw many giant mantas and white tip reef sharks. The sharks were napping together in the caves and it was very cute to watch.
We saw 5-6 humpback whales on the boat. Some were far away and some were close, but we only saw them from the boat. No luck this time in any of the dives seeing them underwater.
In the third dive, one young curious manta came close to us and circled around us for half an hour. It was flying by everyone and wouldn’t leave us! It followed wherever we went for some time and it was sad to finally say goodbye as we needed to make the safety stop. But during the safety stop we saw a jack tornado spinning in circles.
On today’s dives we dove with guides Diego and Xavier. They were good at spotting the fish each time something interesting was happening! The water temperature today was consistently 21 C to 22 C. Overall, another good day for diving!
