Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-02-18

Good day everyone! NBA on route to San Benedicto Island, we have a good weather today, great for navigation, NW winds from 6-8 kts and 2-4 ft waves coming from the same direction, partly cloudy day, sky 5/8, no traffic around, Air temperature 23° Celsius.

Last night we received our guests around 19:30, made the welcome briefing and pax drill successfully, we had an issue with a lost suitcase belonging to a couple, Christian and Daniela, which fortunately we were able to resolve with the support of the dive shop staff, to whom the guests were very grateful for the support and reaction of the Nautilus team.

We made our undocking manoeuvre and started our navigation.

We have a guest who is very interested in sharing a talk about his experiences in the archipelago of Revillagigedo and Guadalupe in previous years with Nautilus and collaborations with the National Geographic Team. I am considering it to include it during the week.

His name is Mr. Herbert Wien 61 years old; he also brought his life line from 11 years ago with VHF communication with its case that keeps it in good condition acquired by Nautilus.

Now guests are enjoying lunch, we made the captains safety briefing and solved some doubts about the dive operation, it seems like a good group and experienced divers, our divers will start preparing their dive gear and chill around, and wait for upcoming presentations, dive briefing. We will make a fire drill, our ETA for Fondeadero Canyon is February 19 around 01:00 hours,
