Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-02-19

Good day everyone, NBA anchored in southside of San Benedicto Island “Fondeadero/Canyon” we arrived at the island last night around 00:50 hrs.

We started our day early in the morning with our check dive which was great, wind from the NW of 10 to 15 kts., partly cloudy and calm seas, air temperature 21°C, water temperature 22°C.

Divers had no problem with buoyancy and equipment besides that they enjoyed the dive with some hammerheads, one manta, white tips, Galapagos, and a lot of lobsters and silkies around.

We are planning to do Cabo Pearce for tomorrow, we will skip the Boiler to catch better weather conditions in the next days.

The second dive of the day was good with more marine life, guests came out so happy after it, they could see Galapagos, silkies, silver tips, white tips, big Schools of hammerheads and reef fish too, vis more than 80 ft, few current so far.

While waiting for the divers, a large splash on the surface of the sea caused by an apparently humpback whale deeper into the open sea, some guests and diving guides managed to hear its sounds during the dive.

The guests are doing fine, we will make 2 more dives here, enjoy our taco night, and head to Socorro after dinner.
