Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-02-19

NEX at anchor at Punta Tosca, Socorro, 153 ft depth, 3.5 shots out. Weather at anchor area: 5-9 kts N wind, 1-2 ft seas. Clear sky. Air temp 22C.

Yesterday afternoon at Roca Partida dives were awesome, they saw silver tips, white tips, Galapagos, yellow fin tunas, 4 chevron and 1 black mantas, huge lobsters, visibility was nice, everybody was very excited because the whales came close to the dive site and they could see.

We arrived at 6am directly to Punta Tosca. Weather at dive area: 8-10 kts N wind, 1-3 ft seas, water temp 22C and visibility 10mts.

We started our 2 dives very well with 3 Chevron Mantas, a couple of Hammerheads, a group of 4 Dolphins and a young Tiger shark. Boths dives was nice, dolphins were very playful with the divers.

We will go one more dive this afternoon, then to Navy inspection and finally drop anchor in Cabo Pearce.
