Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2025-02-20

NGL Anchored in Bahia Agua Verde, Loreto area. A sunny day, air temperature 77F. The NGL returned again to the battle and this morning started with very good luck.

Today the search for Whales was done at the RHIB and right at the beginning we had the first encounter with two Humpback whales that cooperated a bit and we preferred to continue searching for the Blues, not taking long to have encounters with two Blue Whales.

The mother and the calf that were cooperating for more than an hour with us circling around the RHIB very close, which the guests enjoyed when they showed their tails.

When the Plane arrived to the area to give us support, just before returning to La Paz gave us directions of where the good action was 6 nm south of our location, we headed in that direction and found several Whales Blues and some Humpbacks.

When we saw the blows, we stopped and soon we were surrounded by at least 5 Blue Whales that spent a good time coming out very close to the RHIB and showing their tails. In this area there were at least 12 different individuals.

When we wanted to return to the NGL two Humpback Whales began to do something different they jumped or approached the RHIB so that we did not move from the area. All the Guests were very happy.
