Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-03-03

Good day everyone! Nautilus Explorer anchored in South side of San Benedicto Island “El Cañon”.

We arrived in the dive site yesterday after the 3rd dive in Boiler, around 1600 hrs and made the 4th dive here in Lava flow, the weather conditions in Boiler were very tough so we finished the day in this shelter area, there are 2 boats with us, “Solmar V & Rocio del Mar” sharing the dive site.

We started at 0800hrs with our dives and we are going to make 3 in Cañon and 1 in Fondeadero to complete the 4 dives of the day. Weather conditions here are good because we are protected, there are strong winds coming from NW 15-20 kns and a long swell from nw 2-4 ft, air temperature 22°C and water temperature 23°C.

We have done 2 dives, and they were amazing, the dive site is full of plenty kinds of sharks, Silkies, White and silver tips, hammerheads, Galapagos, black tips, some Mantas, and a lot of reef fish around.

Guests are very happy in their last day of diving; we will make our way to CSL tonight around 2300hrs.
