Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-03-05

Good day everyone, NBA anchored in southside of San Benedicto Island Canyon 70 ft deep, 3 shots.

We arrived at the island February 5th around 00:30 hrs, We had to coordinate the dives in a special way so that all the boats could do at least 3 dives, since due to the bad weather conditions outside the Canyon two more boats took refuge here and could not change their itinerary.

Originally, we arrived in third place to do 4 dives and start at 09:00 am, but it was no longer possible due to the arrival of 2 additional boats at the site during the early hours of today. I explained the situation to the guests during the continental breakfast, and they told me that there was no problem and that they were very satisfied with everything in general.

Likewise, during the dive briefing with all the guests, I again emphasized punctuality and the support of the guests in being on time for the dives and offered them an apology for the presence of more boats, explaining the situation, and everyone maintained a very kind and understanding attitude, very positive.

We started our day early in the morning with dive #1 which was great, wind from the N of 10 to 15 kts., clear sky and 1.4m swell, air temperature 21°C, water temperature 23°C, visibility 10 to 15m, they enjoyed the dive with some hammerheads, one manta, white tips, Galapagos, and a lot of lobsters and silkies around.

The second dive of the day was very good with more marine life, guests came out so happy after it, they could see Galapagos, silkies, silver tips, tiger shark, white tips, big Schools of hammerheads and reef fish too, few current so far from east to west, the crew and guests are doing fine.

We will make 1 more dive here, enjoy our steak night, and head to Cabo San Lucas after dinner.
