Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-03-07

Good day to everyone, Nautilus Explorer reporting from San Benedicto Island “El Cañon” with vessel lying with portside anchor, 2 shots in the water and 50ft depth.

We arrived at the island last night around 2200 hrs. and stayed the night anchored, there are other vessel with us “Solmar V” and they started first the dives. Today the weather conditions around the dive site are good. It’s a sunny day with some whites around, winds are from 8-10 kns and waves 2-4 NW, the air temperature is 22°C and water temperature 23°C.

During the 2 dives of today the guests enjoyed mantas and sharks’ interaction, there are white tips, silver tips, Galapagos. Hammerheads, black tips and some mantas all over the dive site, visibility is great, over 100 ft and there are no current.
