Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-03-19

NEX  at anchor at Cabo Pearce on 80 ft on water, 2.5 shots out. It is nice and calm in the bay, flat seas and light wind. Wind off the finger is 10-15 kts from N and 3 ft seas. Clear sky and sunny. Air temp. 23C.

We arrived yesterday afternoon to Cabo Pearce after the navy check in. NUS and Valentina were here already. Today we are third in line to dive. We have done 2 dives so far this morning.

First dive was nice, a couple of mantas that were at the cleaning station and few sharks around. Marcel´s group saw a few dolphins at the beginning of the dive that just passed by. There was a mild annoying current from south to North, water temp 23C and viz 12-15 mts.

Second dive was more of the same, not much activity in our dives 1 Manta and few sharks. Same current from south and same water conditions. The highlight of the day was a couple of humpback whales breaching 50 mtrs off boat. We will do one more dive and then we will depart to the Canyon.

Crew and guests doing fine.
