Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-03-25

NEX at anchor at the Boiler on 108 ft of water, 2.5 shots out. weather conditions: Wind 5-8 kts NW, seas 3-5 ft WNW. Overcast sky. Air temp is 22C.

We just dropped anchor down to the Boiler a few minutes ago to dive the 2 afternoon dives here. In the morning Quino El Guardian and Storm did the 2 morning dives at the Boiler, and Solmar V and us at the Canyon. Quino and Storm are now at the Canyon.

First dive we did the check dive at Fondeadero, was a really nice dive, there were dolphins most of the guest saw them, there was a group that have the dolphins almost the whole dive. There were also a lot of sharks, Galapagos, silkies, silvertips and they saw also one tiger shark. Viz was good 20+ mts and water temp 23C. There was a mild current to the NE.

On second dive we dove the Canyon, really great dive, 4 Mantas and a lot of sharks at the cleaning station, there was a really nice viz 25+ mts and water temp 23C. There is still the same current to NE.

After finishing second dive we move to the Boiler for third and fourth dive.
