Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-03-27

Good Day! Here NBA anchored with 3 shots in the water at Fondeadero Canyon, 45 ft depth.

We arrived to the island today around 0130 hours, no boats around. northwest wind 10 to 15 kts and 2 to 4 ft seas in the anchorage, that has been increasing this morning, gusts of winds of 18kts. Air temperature 20°C, sky cloudy.

We started our check dive early in the morning, during this dive some dolphins were next to the boat and spent time with our guests, they had good animal encounters with big Galapagos, silkis, silver tips, big mantas, school of jacks.

Dive number 2 was done at Canyon, the visibility is about 70ft, and the water temperature 22 C, cleaning station was full of sharks, a couple of hammerheads but full of Galapagos, Silvertips, white tips, the guests look happy, we are planning to do 2 more dives here, and navigate to Roca Partida after dinner,

I decided to change the original plan and avoid going to the Boiler for the 3 remaining dives after the dive checkout and instead stay in Canyon to minimize accidents and provide a better experience to the guests and monitor their skills and experience, since the wave and wind conditions in Boiler were not safe.
