Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-03-31

Hello everyone, NBA anchored at The CANYON South side of San Benedicto Island, at a depth of 45 ft, 2.5 shots.

Yesterday we successfully completed our last dive at Cabo Pearce, the guests were very happy with the interaction with the marine life, we arrived back to San Benedicto to rest in the Canyon around 11:00 PM.

Today we moved to the Boiler at 5:30 AM to do the 7:00 dive, but found that the local weather conditions were more adverse than the weather forecast and the risk for the operation with the skiffs was very high, assessing the situation I showed the trip leader Fernando how the conditions looked on the dive platform, and he agreed that it was not safe.

I opted to return to the canyon and be more protected, where the morning dives at 8:00 AM and the 11:00 AM have been incredible with the interaction of dolphins, Galapagos sharks, schools of hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, silver tips, schools of jacks, groups of manta rays.

The guests thanked me for keeping them safe and give them the experience of good diving in the Canyon. the weather conditions were; wind 08 to 16 kts N, swell 1.3m/ 1 to 1-4 ft NW, clear sky air temperature 22°C, water temperature 23°C, visibility 12 to 18m.

The guests seem very happy with the experience, during dives 1 and 2 there was a good animal encounter. We will finish 2 more dives here, and after dinner we will start to heading to Cabo San Lucas.
